Techoice delivery approach (TAP)

A repeatable rhythm for teams that need clarity, steady releases, and room to learn after launch.

TAP · Assess · Plan · Build · Iterate

Why TAP exists

TAP is Techoice’s in-house delivery framework, not an off-the-shelf methodology. It keeps strategy, design, and engineering in one loop so scope, trade-offs, and quality stay visible. Each phase ends with artefacts your team can keep: briefs, designs, working software, and a backlog for what comes next.

The four phases

  1. Assess

Map goals, constraints, and users. Align on success metrics and the smallest slice worth building first.

  2. Plan

Shape the roadmap, UX flows, and technical approach. Fix scope for the next release and surface risks early.

  3. Build

Implement in increments with reviews and demos. Keep accessibility, observability, and handover docs in scope.

  4. Iterate

Measure, refine, and prioritise what ships next. TAP loops until outcomes are met or your team takes the baton.

What stays constant

Whatever the engagement size, these principles guide every TAP cycle.

  • Shared alignment

Written decisions and visible backlogs so stakeholders and engineers read the same story.

  • Honest transparency

Scope, timeline, and trade-offs surfaced early, no surprise “phase two” to finish the basics.

  • Durable quality

Accessible UI, typed contracts, and documentation your team can extend after we step back.
